Elijah continues to be stable. Every 12 hours, the doctors have been slowly lowering the oxygen concentration going to his tent and watching how he does. He’s doing pretty well, although last night they needed to backtrack a little because his blood oxygen level wasn’t being adequately sustained.
I just spoke with the pediatrician, and he said that everything looks positive today. They’ve been able to again begin lowering the oxygen, and today he’s been tolerating the little changes well.
This morning, I read a couple of verses that jumped out at me:
The LORD your God who goes before you will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in the past, before your very eyes. And as he has done in the wilderness, where you have seen how he carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way until you came to this place. –Deut. 1:30-31
I know that God is carrying little Elijah along. And he’s been carrying me and Lindsay and the girls too.
Thank you for your continued prayer. –Lukegville
