First of all, we want to thank everyone for their prayers about our apartment. We are happy (and amazed) to announce that we are officially moved in! After months without a house for our family, it feels great to have some space again. Bella is enjoying her own room (a first for us), and we are busy unpacking boxes, putting up curtains, etc. The gas and kitchen installations still are not complete, which means cold showers and peanut-butter on tortillas, but other than that we couldn’t be happier with the apartment! Thanks again for praying for us! ~ On a ministry note, La Vida Profunda is a youth discipleship group that we have on Wednesday nights. We write most of the curriculum for it and distribute it to fellow Christian leaders and churches throughout Mexico. Right now, we are working on our third book, “The Fruit of the Spirit.” Please pray that it would all come together smoothly. Most of the preliminary lesson-writing is finished, but we still lack about half of the layout and all of the final proofing. ~ Please also be praying for our La Vida Profunda small group. Pray especially for Mayra and Samuel (pronounced “sam-well”.) They are siblings who have been faithfully attending our LVP studies for about three years. Mayra and Samuel daily face many challenges. They are in one of the poorer families who attend our church, and Mayra is the primary breadwinner for the whole family right now because she has the best job — teaching in a day-care. As a teenager, this is a responsibility in which she feels a lot of pressure. This pressure has recently been compounded because her father was just in a car accident that prevents him from working full-time. Mayra’s biggest dream is to attend a Bible college in the United States and become a missionary to Central America.
Thank you always for your love, prayer, and support!
