Please Pray - Growing Cell Groups and Church Anniversary

To the Praying Faithful,

I want to take this post to focus on some cool stuff that God has been doing in the Jubilee plant and to ask you to join us in thanking Him for his faithfulness.

First, a few weeks ago I asked you to pray for a retreat that we held for new folks in our church. God listened to your prayer, and the retreat was a great success as we prayed together, learned together, and ate together. Please continue to pray for this group of new additions as they continue to seek God and solidify their faith in Him. And thank God for providing us with a fruitful retreat!

Second, we’ve been very encouraged this year by the growth of our small groups (cells) that meet throughout the city. Last week, for example, we had 135 participate in cell groups during the week! Because so much ministry and fellowship takes place in these groups, we’re excited to have virtually all of the church actively participating. Please pray that this trend continues, and ask for more growth in maturity and number.

Third, we’re thanking God for a wonderful Anniversary Sunday a couple of weeks ago. This year we celebrated 4 years since Jubilee’s launch. We held a special celebration service with everything from a guest speaker to birthday cake. It was great fun. And the best part was that my dad was our guest speaker this year! Please join us in thanking God for the chance to celebrate all he’s done with this church plant over the past four years and all he’s still to do with us in the years to come!

Thank you for your prayers, thoughts, notes, support, and faithfulness. We are blessed more than I can express.

Un abrazo fuerte, –Luke

PS — The photo is me translating for my Dad at the anniversary celebration. It was a lot of fun.
