Dear friends and family,
Thank you for praying for our New Christians Retreat on April 26th. It went really well with solid teaching and small group prayer time for the new believers beginning their walk with Christ.
This month, I have an important prayer request: Beginning this summer and going through December, our family will be on ministry assignment in the U.S. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been five years since our last Stateside furlough!
During our time in the U.S., we’ll be visiting with supporting churches and individuals to pray together and to update them personally on the progress of the church plant. Additionally, Ozark Christian College has asked that our family be a part of their “Missionaries on Campus” program for the Fall semester. I’ll be teaching a couple of courses and our family will be counseling with students who are interested in pursuing Christian missions as a vocation. Finally, after the time at Ozark and logging lots of road miles, we plan to be back in Mexico in January.
Please pray that this ministry time in the States would be fruitful. Pray that we would make good connections with our support base, that our kids would be flexible and adaptable during a few months with lots of transition, and that the time at the college would be beneficial to the students and to God’s mission around the world. In all things, pray that God would be actively going before us. Also, please continue to pray for our teammates and the church plant while we are away.
Thank you for praying for us! If you’d like to get together over a cup of dark coffee or fountain Dr Pepper while we’re in the U.S., shoot me an email and we’ll see if we can arrange something while we’re passing through your neck of the woods.
Un abrazo, –Luke
