Dear faithful praying friends and family,
There’s a common expression that we use in Mexico when communicating gratitude: mil gracias. It literally translates, “1000 thank yous.” It’s a phrase that’s designed to express deep appreciation to someone and it’s used when a single “thank you” isn’t enough. Lindsay, my kids, and I are in such a time. We have dozens — maybe hundreds — of people that we are indebted to for praying for us and serving us throughout this transition to where God is leading us now. We have utterly depended on the many kindnesses of supporters, friends, teammates, and family. With this update I want to express our “1000 thank yous” to as many of these people as I can remember:
First, thank you to each of you who receive and read these prayer updates, and then pray for us. We have experienced God’s answers to your prayers time and again, and the past month is no exception. Thank you for praying for us as we packed, hugged, cried, laughed, and ate together before our departure from Mexico.
Thank you also Sheldon, Travis, Mark, Joy, Eric, Dee, Sergio, Holly, Iglesia Cristiana El Jubileo, all of our supporting churches, Laura and Jim at NMSI, Edwin, Jesse, Karla, Gregorio, Vicki, Brent, Nick, Greg, our parents and families, and the many, many others who I’ve not named but who have given time, money, space, counsel, and prayer.
Please continue to pray for us. Just as God went out before us in our move from Mexico, we trust that he is preparing our way over the next couple of months as we travel and become established before our season with Orchard Group begins on June 1st.
Un abrazo, —Luke
